networking pressure and performance.


Since 2024, Picnics have been our playground for expression, conversation and better

communal intelligence. A place to ask better questions and learn from what others know.
I know something. You know something. Now we know something.

Diversity

We hate being one-size-fits-all. We crave inclusion, different people, opinions, angles and ways of doing things.

Shared Behaviour

We leave room for people to shape the experience instead of following a fixed way of doing things.

Coverage

We go to cities, towns and everywhere in between, taking Picnics wherever people are.

Analog First

We choose real rooms, open spaces and conversations where people can sit, move and talk.

There is a method to do it.

  • Because there is no other way

    Three years back, in a garden, under an ordinary sun.


    I was loitering there, half-asleep in the shade, deep in one of those slow, meandering conversations with a friend.


    We got talking about something simple: how we share our best opinions when we're out in the sun. How the best ideas really do trickle out in conversations like that one. A little unplanned, unscripted, a little sunstruck.

  • How nice it is when people just talk, instead of performing for each other.


    That's when it hit me that we've all become so performative.


    Somewhere in that thought, I started thinking about brands.

  • About how rarely they actually listen to people. Not survey them. Not target them. Listen.


    So why not build that ourselves?


    A community of people who want to share. Who want to chat. Who just want to have a point of view - out loud, with people who'll actually hear it.

  • That's how Pegboard Picnics® began.


    The first one was the OG. July of 2024.

    Friends of Pegboard. And that one pulsed into another. And another.

  • So if you're ever bored of social media conversations, and you just want to touch grass, touch hearts, touch some real emotion - move, chat, eat, be in a room with people - join us at one of these.
